(WAND Weather) —Central Illinois' first big snowstorm of the season exited Monday morning.

Moderate to heavy snow fell across much of the area Sunday morning through early Monday.

As we expected, the heaviest of the snow was around Interstate 72 southward. Much of this area picked up 5-10" of snow.
To the north, where we forecasted lesser amounts, a few inches accumulated.
Here are some of the latest snowfall totals.

The Illinois Department of Transportation continues to work hard to clear the roads and it is advised to give them the space and time to do so.
