DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Decatur Police Chief Shane Brandel announced that the department is planning to enhance curfew enforcement for minors to help combat gun violence in the community.
He was joined at the podium by Decatur Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe and community leaders.
An ordinance regarding curfew for minors already exists in the city code but hasn't been consistently enforced. The full body of the ordinance can be found below.
