DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Decatur school board voted to expand its international teacher program Tuesday evening.

The board unanimously approved the International Teacher Cultural Exchange Program partnership.

This year, Decatur Public Schools brought 38 international teachers to the community.

Next year, Decatur will add another 30 to 40 international teachers to help fill vacancies.

The board also approved professional development for these new educators.
