DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - The FBI Springfield Field Office along with local, state and federal law enforcement are conducting searches in Danville.
The office is conducting court authorized activity combating violent crime and drug activity.
The operation will include arrests and searches.
“The Danville Police Department will continue to partner with and assist other agencies to reduce violent crime and drug activity that has a negative impact to the quality of life of the citizens in our community," said Danville Police Chief Christopher Yates.
The FBI office said, "Due to the operation size and requirements, there will be no further comment at this time.”
