URBANA, Ill. (WAND) - The FBI Springfield Field Office, along with local law enforcement will be conducting a training exercise in Urbana on Friday.Â
The exercise will take place in the area of Anthony Drive and Willow Road from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
According to FBI Springfield agents the exercise is not in response to any current events, and there is no known danger to the public associated with it.Â
However, residents should expect to see tactically trained personnel in the vicinity during this time.
The exercise area will be clearly marked with signs and caution tape. Â Â Â
Officials state there is no reason for alarm regarding this training or the presence of additional personnel. It is designed to be safe for residents and will not disrupt traffic or commuters in any way.
The exercise training is not open to the public or the media.
