Herff Jones

ARCOLA, Ill. (WAND) - Herff Jones, a leading provider in handcrafted graduation and educational products and services, announced Monday it will close its Champaign facility after 45 years and expand its operations in Arcola.

The Champaign facility is expected to close in March 2026. It employs about 170 people, Herff Jones told WAND News.

The Arcola facility will support the full scope of production. Distribution services will shift to the company's headquarters in Indianapolis.

"After a thorough evaluation of our manufacturing footprint, we recognized the need to expand our operations in Arcola, and as a result, begin the phased closure of our Champaign facility, said Ron Stoupa, Chief Executive Officer for Herff Jones. "The decision is in no way a reflection of the dedication and performance of our exceptional team in Champaign, who have been a cornerstone of Herff Jones for more than four decades."

Herff Jones is offering relocation opportunities to Arcola and Indianapolis, transportation support for critical roles, and career services to those impacted by the Champaign closure.

WAND has also reached out to the Champaign County Economic Development Corporation for comment.
