DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — On Saturday, December 6, the Macon Co. CASA hosts their 'Home for the Holidays' GALA as a fun way to raise money for the non-profit.

The evening will include a traditional holiday dinner, cocktails, music, dancing, karaoke with DJ David Lee, silent and live baked goods auctions from local bakeries, and, of course, Santa Claus will be present.

The money raised will go directly to helping children in need in Macon and Piatt Counties. Executive Director Blaine Smith said this fundraiser is how CASA takes care of children in the community:

"We have served 562 children this year, so every dollar that is raised goes right back in to advocating for the best interest in those children that we serve in our community. The kids that we need to take responsibility for that need recognition for experiencing something that they should not have. And now we are here to make sure they are safe and do what we can to ensure that."

If you are interested, tickets are still available. The GALA starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Decatur Club. Tickets are $50 per person, or $400 for a table of 10 people. Click here to purchase tickets and read more about the upcoming event.
