DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A man wanted for home invasion was arrested after a standoff with Decatur police Tuesday night.Â
Lieutenant Todd Koester with Decatur police told WAND News they got word that a man wanted for an unrelated home invasion, Garold Leggions, was in a vacant home on Church Street near West Division and North Main.Â
DPD and the Emergency Response Team arrived around 7 p.m.Â
A WAND News photojournalist saw several police cars outside the home around 9 p.m.Â
Police said he surrendered several hours later, and the scene was cleared around 10:45 p.m.Â
Leggions had an arraignment hearing Wednesday morning.Â
Court records show he is charged with two counts of Home Invasion, Residential Burglary, Aggravated Discharge of Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Weapon by Felon.Â
He was denied pretrial release and is due back in court December 17.Â
