DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Police are investigating after one person was hurt in a shooting in Decatur Friday afternoon.
The Decatur Police Department told WAND News that officers responded to reports of a shooting just after 10 a.m. near the intersection of North Poole Street and West Center Street.
Police confirmed that one person was shot and taken to the hospital, but their condition is unknown at this time.
A WAND photojournalist saw at least three DPD squad cars and a crime scene investigation van still at the scene just after 12:30 p.m. Decatur police said it is still an active investigation.
It is unclear if officers have identified a suspect or made any arrests.
