SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - One woman is dead following a motor vehicle crash in Springfield Tuesday evening.
The Sangamon County Coroner's Office said that the crash happened on West Washington Street.Â
A Springfield woman, later identified by the coroner's office as 37-year-old Kendra Kittrell, was transported to Springfield Memorial Hospital. Â
Kittrell was pronounced dead at 6 p.m., just after she arrived at the hospital. An autopsy showed Kittrell died from blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.Â
