SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Illinois hunters harvested 51,409 deer during the first weekend of firearm deer season, according to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.Â
IDNR said that hunters previously harvested 54,661 deer during the first weekend in 2024.Â
The seven-day firearm season will end Dec. 4 to 7.
