SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (ALPLM) is celebrating Juneteenth with multiple events throughout this month.
Starting June 13, the Emancipation Proclamation will be on display on weekdays through June 26 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
They will have a special presentation from Dan Duster, the great-grandson of civil rights activist Ida B Wells on Tuesday, June 17. It will start at 6:30 p.m. in the ALPLM Union Theater. Seats can be reserved on their website.Â
The museum is also offering free admission on June 19 to celebrate the holiday.
