DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Decatur City Council will consider a development agreement Monday night for a proposed billion-dollar power plant.
Broadwing Energy wants to build a gas-fired facility along Brush College Road, which would produce electricity and steam for ADM and Google.
If approved, the project would bring in close to $13 million annually in revenue from taxes and water payments.
Under the agreement, the company would also pay for a new water main for the city's northeast industrial corridor.
