DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) – The Decatur Park District is in line to receive hundreds of thousands of dollars for improvements to a northside park.
Rep. Sue Scherer told WAND News the funds are for improvements to Cresthaven Park. The park is located north of Pershing Road off Monroe.
Scherer said discussions will take place to determine exactly how the money will be used. She added that fixtures already in the park will stay but "in a better form."
Scherer added that the Decatur Indoor Sports Center (DISC) will separately receive about $500,000 for facility improvements.
