DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The City of Decatur seeks community input on improvements or additions they would like to see in the Oakwood Business District.Â
Decatur will partner with local developers, nearby business owners and Millikin University to help bring "new life" to the district, according to the City's press release.
The district is located near Millikin's campus along Oakland Avenue between W Main Street and W Wood Street. Businesses in the area include Oakwood Tattoo and University Dogs.Â
Additionally, the City added that its economic development team will explore solutions connected to parking, lighting and neighborhood safety measures.Â
The survey link is available online and will close Saturday, Jan. 31.Â
