DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A person was stabbed in Decatur Thursday night, according to Decatur police.

The Decatur Police Department told WAND News the stabbing happened near Orlando Apartments on South Water Street.

That is across the street from the Macon County Sheriff's Office building. 

The person hurt was taken to the hospital, and their condition is unclear.

Illinois State Police were also assisting. 

Decatur police added that a person was arrested, but it is unknown if they are a suspect.
