5 Things to do this weekend

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across central Illinois.

Here is a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening Friday, June 19, to Sunday, June 21. 

FoodeesFest

Prepare your appetite as FoodeesFest is coming to the Capitol City. The event will feature over 40 gourmet food trucks and vendors, with options including barbecue, street tacos, dessert, drinks and more.

When: 1-9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday

Forsyth Fest

Celebrate the nation's 250th birthday during Forsyth Fest. Activities will include inflatables, a petting zoo, food trucks, a beer garden, a bags tournament, a mechanical bull, fireworks and more. There will be a parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday. 

Blue Rock Band will perform live music from 6-9 p.m. Friday, and Kapital Sound from 6-9 p.m. Saturday. 

When: 5 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday

Cosmic Bowling

Bowl under the black lights with glowing lanes during Cosmic Bowling at Logan Lanes in Lincoln. Enjoy a night under the disco lights with family and friends as you aim to strike up a win.

Journey at the State Farm Center

"Don't Stop Believin'" as you take pops out for some dad rock in Champaign. Journey's "Final Frontier Tour" will make a stop at the State Farm Center on Saturday. 

Don't miss your chance to catch the iconic band going your "Separate Ways." 

Tickets are still available online. 

When: 7 p.m. Saturday, doors open at 6 p.m.

Where: State Farm Center, Champaign

Father's Day at the Zoo 

Bring dad to the zoo, even if he looks like a monkey and smells like one too. Dads will get free admission, and kids can create a special gift with them in the education room. 

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, last admission at 4:30 p.m.

Where: Henson Robinson Zoo, Springfield
