(WAND) - The Mount Pulaski Rural Fire Protection District met Monday evening with an update on the future of the Chestnut Fire Department.
The district is in charge of decisions related to the department.
Its board of trustees stated that work is being done to get the department up and running again.
A WAND photojournalist on the scene said six members will begin training soon to staff the department.
