(WAND) - Snack food company Frito-Lay is pausing plans for a 250,000 square foot warehouse near Chatham.

WAND News partner WTAX reported that the president and CEO of the Springfield Growth Alliance said external factors are to blame. 

That would include tariffs and a drop in sales for the salty snacks. 

It is unclear if Frito-Lay will renew the project in the future.
