CHICAGO, Ill. (WAND) - Changes are coming to gambling ads in Illinois.

The Illinois Gaming Board said in an Aug. 4 press release that it has adopted new rules that restrict how casino, video gaming and sports wagering operators can advertise in the state.

The changes will include a ban on gambling ads on college campuses to help combat problem gambling.

The ads are also not allowed to be placed in locations where kids are likely to see them.

The changes are in effect as of Aug. 1, and additional information is in the press release.
