JACKSONVILLE, Ill. (WAND) — The City of Jacksonville lifted its boil order Tuesday after a "disruption in the water system."
According to Jacksonville/Morgan County Office of Emergency Management, the order has been lifted for impacted areas, including all properties within the city limits located on Westgate Avenue and all areas west of Westgate Avenue.
Water is confirmed safe for normal use, and residents can return to using tap water for drinking, cooking and other household activities without resorting to boiling.Â
The boil order was previously issued Sunday evening.Â
