SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - Part of Interstate 72 in Springfield is buckling from the heat. 

Illinois State Police issued a traffic advisory saying the right lane of I-72 west at milepost 96.5, just before the Scheels exit, is buckling. 

The Illinois Department of Transportation is at the scene. 

Use caution in that area.
