DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A member of the Macon County Board said that it will soon consider a moratorium on data centers in the area.Â
According to a Facebook post by board member Debra Kraft, the County Zoning Board of Appeals recommended a one-year moratorium during its meeting Wednesday evening.Â
Before then, the plan will be considered by the county's Environmental, Education. Health and Welfare Committee, scheduled for June 25.Â
The Macon County Board will hold its next meeting on June 11.Â
