SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A 31-year-old Springfield man is dead after being shot Friday night.
The Sangamon County Coroner said the man was shot near the intersection of South 13th Street and East Jackson Street.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he died around 11:45 p.m.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until the family is notified.
The Springfield Police Department is still investigating the shooting.
