DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Nobody was hurt after a house caught fire in Decatur Friday night.
The Decatur Fire Department responded to a home on fire near the intersection of North Illinois Street and East Main Street just after 9:30 p.m.
The department said firefighters saw smoke and fire coming from the home when they arrived. Crews worked to bring the fire under control and search the home for anyone inside.
Nobody was hurt, and one resident is being helped by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
