ST. JOSEPH, Ill. (WAND) — A St. Joseph Middle School teacher is under investigation after police said he showed images containing a "sexual act" to students.
According to the Champaign County Sheriff's Office, the teacher was giving a presentation to students on September 11 displaying photos from a personal trip related to current events.
Police said that while presenting the photos, an image depicting the teacher engaged in a sexual act was accidentally shown.
The Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident, and said there is no indication the image was shown on purpose at this time.
WAND has reached out to St. Joseph Middle School for comment.
