MACON, IL- The Macon County Coroner has identified a man found dead in a pond over the weekend.
Twenty eight year-old Clinton Spiker, of Macon, was found floating in the pond on 3600 block of Gabriel Road just north of Macon on Saturday afternoon.
Macon County Coroner Michael Day says this case is being investigated as a crime. The coroner says this is because investigators do not know how Spiker ended up at the home on Gabriel Road or how he died in the decorative pond.
An autopsy preformed Monday lists the cause of death as being consistent with drowning.
