SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in Springfield Sunday.
The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, said an unidentified woman was found dead in the 1100 block of North 5th Street. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
The death is under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department.
