LOGAN COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) — Six people were transported to area hospitals after low visibility caused four separate crashes on Illinois Route 54 Tuesday evening.
Illinois State Police Troop 6 reports that the crashes occurred on IL-54 near 2000 Avenue in Logan County, near Chestnut, Ill.
A total of nine cars had to be removed from the scene and the roadway was shut down while blowing dust hampered visibility. The route was reopened around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.
