Manhunt begins for jewelry store theft suspect

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) – Police are searching for a man accused of stealing from a jewelry store.

Officers say the man entered Champaign Jewelers at about 12:40 p.m. Friday and stole undisclosed items from the store. They say he ran southwest from the building, which is located at 2223 S. Neil Street.

Police say the man is biracial, about 20 years old, has a thin build and is between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall.
