He has now been identified as Julio Cucul Bol, a 29-year-old citizen of Guatemala.
Police said initially, he had possessed falsified Mexican paperwork.
Investigators learned the identity of the suspect through Julio’s admission.

Cucul Bol, was arrested about an hour south of Dallas.
The Urbana Police Department said that Cucul Bol was driving a Mitsubishi Outlander when he rear-ended a Honda Civic that was slowing down at a traffic light on University Avenue at Coler Avenue. Five people were in the Honda and two of them were fatally injured: 21-year-old Chloe Polzin and 20-year-old Katherine J. Abraham. Other passengers were also injured in the crash.
Cucul Bol left the scene of the crash without stopping.
The United States Marshals Service located Cucul Bol in Milford, Texas on a bus destined for Matamoros, Mexico. A warrant out of Champaign County has charged him with reckless homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal injury crash.
“This type of partnership is essential to local law enforcement, and I would like to thank the women and men of the Urbana Police Department and the US Marshals Service for their efforts in capturing Cucul Bol,” said Urbana Police Chief Larry D. Boone in a statement.
