DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Millikin University has a packed campus ahead of their fall semester. The school is excited to welcome returning students back, as well as meet new, incoming freshmen.

Millikin University welcomes back new students to campus

Millikin is launching new programs this fall, such as new nursing labs, a new theatre and performance building, and fast-track hands on experience. Representatives from the school said that within the first semester, their students will be in the field working with real life opportunities to showcase their education from the classroom.

The private institution also shared they have decreased their tuition significantly to provide more accessible and affordable education. Millikin increased their financial aid packets, as well, to make the four years of schooling more inclusive to all families and households.

The student success office told WAND News, "While picking a higher education or picking a university, no matter where you're going, it's a financial obligation. We're really trying to help the students and their parents manage what that end cost will be. I think it's easier to say yes to college, if you know what the next four years look like financially for families."
