DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - There are a lot of changes coming to Millikin Women's Basketball.
All-American Elyce Knudsen is playing her final season at Illinois State University.
Olivia Lett has taken the head coaching job at the University of Illinois-Springfield.
But the standard for the Big Blue is not changing. New head coaching Kirsten Hammer is settling in at Millikin. And she hopes to uphold the winning traditions set by coaches like Lori Kerans and Lett.
"I think that's what makes this position exciting is that you're coming in with, a legacy that every coach that's been a head coach here has won," said Hammer. "And so, it makes it exciting. It's going to be challenging. Absolutely. But to kind of just build off of what they've done and, you know, continue to just keep getting better and and being an environment that really loves women's basketball."
