A day of motorcycle riding raises thousands of dollars to fight breast cancer.

The seventh annual Komen Decatur Race for the Cure Pink Ribbon Ride brought in about seven thousand dollars. The poker run started in Forsyth at Cozahir Harley Davidson Buell and took riders through three counties. They stopped in Clinton, Warrensburg, Decatur, Stonington, Macon and ended in Decatur for a Pink Party.

"Once you get through your treatment and everything's going really well, its just really nice to see all the various ways people in the community might support money being raised for a really good cause," said breast cancer survivor and event chairperson, Ellen Zemke.

Organizers were concerned turnout would be lower this year because it was the same day at the Cruisin' Downtown car show, but were very pleased with the total raised.
