Tornado EF1 Wx Graphic

(WAND Weather) — Several clusters of storms moved across parts of central Illinois Thursday evening. A few of these storms were able to produce tornadic activity over northeast and east-central McLean county as well as southwest Ford county.

A National Weather Service survey team was able to find damage indicative of a tornado in three different locations.

However, the exact track length and width is yet to be determined since a swath of straight-line wind damage associated with the thunderstorm clusters intersects with the tornado paths.

For now, all three tornadoes are given an EF-1 rating with peak wind speed near 110 mph. One tornado touched down just northeast of Lexington in McLean county.

The other two tornadoes were found in the Anchor to Gibson City region, which borders eastern McLean and southwest Ford county.

Stay tuned to WAND as additional information becomes available this weekend.
