DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - An argument over marijuana led to three men being killed in Danville, the Vermilion County States Attorney said.
Three people have been arrested after the men were found dead.
Two of those arrested were juveniles and the third is 18 years old.Â
Danville police found the bodies of Nathaniel N. Gentry, Anthony D. Jones and Cordell J. Reed on Thursday around 11 a.m. in the 400 block of Elm Street.Â
Danville detectives spoke with witnesses and received several tips from the community that helped them identify the three people of interest.Â
The suspects were located by police and more evidence was found to connect them to the crime. The 18-year-old was identified as Cloanger T.M. Robinson Jr. of Danville. He is facing charges of first degree murder.Â
Police said Robinson Jr. is related to two of the victims.
The second suspect is a 16-year-old. He is facing first degree murder charges. The third is a 17-year-old. He faces aggravated robbery charges.Â
Autopsy results show the victims died as a result of stab wounds and blunt force trauma.Â
In July 2024, Robinson plead guilty to murder and was sentenced to 99 years in prison.Â
Danville police said the investigation is still underway.
