The legal wrangling over the murder of Steven Watkins has entered a new phase.

Steven's parents, Dale and Penny Watkins, are now suing members of the Skinner family, including Steven's estranged wife Jennifer Watkins.

Shirley Skinner was convicted of Steven's murder and sentenced to 70 years in prison earlier this year.

Several members of the Skinner family were in the home at the time of the murder, but they have not talked about what happened that day.

The Watkins' family says they want to know what really happened inside the Skinner home November 25, 2008, the day Steven was shot and killed.   

The Watkins' family is seeking reimbursement for Steven's funeral costs and their attorney fees.
