VERMILION CO. (WAND) - Heavy rainfall Saturday night left parts of Vermilion County dealing with flooding concerns into Sunday morning.
A flood alert was issued overnight but has since been lifted as water levels began to recede.
According to the Vermilion County Emergency Management Agency, several residents reported waking up to flooded homes, while numerous roads across the county were covered by water.
Officials are continuing to assess the extent of the flooding and are reminding drivers to use caution around areas that may still have standing water.
Residents are encouraged to report any ongoing flooding issues to local authorities and avoid driving through flooded roadways.
