TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) – A man was naked when he broke into the Christian County Courthouse early Thursday morning, police say.
Taylorville Police Chief Brian Hile tells WAND-TV officers responded after midnight to find a “naked and disorderly” Brandon Emery. Hile says Emery was aggressive with police and began fighting with them before hitting two officers.
Officers ended up using a Taser on Emery and taking him in for examination. Hile says the man seemed to be under the influence of intoxicating compound at the time.
Police say they found out later Thursday that Emery managed to gain entry to the courthouse, then knocked over a metal detector and damaged a soda machine. They say his break-in was caught on security cameras.
