Decatur police and fire block off Mound Rd.

Decatur fire and police have a section of Mound Rd. blocked off responding to an incident. 

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A portion of East Mound Road that was blocked off Wednesday afternoon due to a traffic accident has reopened. 

WAND News reached out to Decatur police, who confirmed it was a traffic accident and that the road is back open. 

However, DPD did not comment on whether there were any injuries, as the investigation is ongoing. 

Decatur fire and police blocked off a section of the road near the intersection of 1 Educational Park. 

First responders were seen near the intersection around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
