SPRINGFIELD, IL- Business is good for one grocery store chain.
Schnucks announced Wednesday it will build two new food and drug stores in Springfield. Schnucks currently has two locations in Springfield.
The company plans to add one of the new stores at the corner of West Washington Street and North Bruns Lane and the other at the corner of Dirksen Parkway and Singer Avenue.
CEO Scott Schnuck says the new stores will help the company serve the Springfield area better.
Mayor Mike Houston says the new stores show Springfield's retail drawing power. Â
