SPRINGFILED, Ill. (WAND) - Police are searching for the man who robbed a Springfield bank at gunpoint Wednesday morning.
It happened around 8:15 a.m. at United Community Bank in the 2100 block of Peoria Rd.
The suspect is described as a thin African American man who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
He took off running after the robbery.
Police are using dogs to search the area.
