Springfield intersection closed after crash damaged pole

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A Springfield intersection is shut down after a crash damaged a pole and traffic signals.

The intersection of Cook St. and Wheeler Ave. will be closed for several hours while repairs are made.

Drivers are told to use an alternative route and slow down when driving near a work zone.
