SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — The Kidzeum of Health and Science has been keeping children educated and entertained for years.
The Chang family says this is their go-to whenever they're in Springfield.
“We love science a lot. The Kidzeum is probably our top places to visit in Springfield,” said Amy Chang.
Her son, Shal Shen says he's learned lots at the museum both on land and in the air.
“We got to go to the Abraham Lincoln airport, and we got to be inside the cockpit of different planes and different types of planes,” said Shen.
STEAM educator Quinn Allen loves to see kids like Shal Shen shine during their different activities.
“STEM and science isn’t just, you know, the science and math classes they take in school," said Allen. "It really shows them that it’s not boring and that it’s really the future.”
There's also a STEAM focused after-school academy available for kids as well.
