SPRINGFIELD - A Springfield financial adviser is facing multiple charges for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly client.
Authorities say Vaughn Henry, 64, faces charges of theft of more than $100,000, financial exploitation of the elderly, money laundering, and wire fraud. Sangamon County State's Attorney John Milhiser says the charges are felonies.
Milhiser also says the alleged crimes happened between 2013 and 2015. The Springfield Police Department continues to investigate.
