TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - If you live in or around Taylorville and see lots of sirens tomorrow, do not be alarmed.
The city is planning an active shooter drill that will be held Saturday morning at the Taylorville square.
Multiple agencies will be involved in the drill to get proper training on how to handle an active shooter.
No streets around the square will be shut down. They are trying to make the event seem as real as possible.
People will be wearing makeup to appear injured, but police stress no one will actually be in harms way.
This will come just two days after a man shot his way into an Annapolis, Maryland newsroom and killed five people.
