CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - A teenager who was killed in a crash in Champaign County Thursday has been identified.Â
The Champaign County Coroner said Samuel A. Shonkwiler, 18, of St. Joseph, died in a single-vehicle crash near County Road 1380 North and County Road 2400 East around 10:30 p.m.Â
The Champaign County Sheriff's Office said Shonkwiler was speeding when he hit a utility pole.Â
He was pronounced dead at the scene.Â
An autopsy has been scheduled.Â
The crash is under investigation by the Champaign County Sheriff's Office and Champaign County Coroner's Office.Â
