(WAND) - A tornado watch has been issued for parts of central Illinois on Thursday.Â
The watch has been issued for the following counties until 9 p.m.: Morgan, Sangamon, Cass, DeWitt, Ford, Iroquois, McLean and Logan.Â
A tornado watch is issued when weather conditions are favorable for producing tornadoes.Â
According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln on Facebook, severe storms are expected throughout much of the region Thursday evening.Â
NWS said that all hazards, including 75+ mph winds, tornadoes and potentially golf ball-sized hail, are possible.Â
