EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) – Three drivers ended up in the hospital after a highway crash.
Illinois State Police say after 2 a.m. Wednesday, 53-year-old Timothy Scott Cockrell drove his white 2014 Kenworth semitruck into two other trucks parked on a highway off ramp. It was headed northbound on Interstate 57 when went off the road to the left, lost control, struck a white 2014 International truck, then went through a ditch and hit a white 2017 Freightliner truck.
Heather Lynn Waingrow, 37, drove the 2014 International and Ana L. Arias, 45, drove the 2017 Freightliner. All three drivers went to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham for injury treatment.Â
