The latest two suspects arrested in connection with the shooting death of Danville man Bennie Moten July 6th are behind bars with no bond.

The Vermilion county jail says Stanley D. Porter, Jr., 19, and Victor Lee, 20, had bond hearings Sunday and no bond was set. They are scheduled for their official arraignments Monday.

Police arrested the Danville men Friday. Police arrested Porter in the 1700 block of East English in the evening on a warrant for murder. Later that evening, police say Lee turned himself in at the Public Safety Building after learning of a warrant for his arrest for murder.

"Detectives sought warrants July 9 and July 10 on the two individuals," said Larry Thomason, Director of Public Safety for the City of Danville. "Through their continuing investigation Porter and Lee were linked to the incident that took the life of Mr. Moten."

Michael Sullivan, 33, and Antonio Morris, 28, were arrested in Chicago on first degree murder warrants July 7 in connection with the death. They are currently behind bars in Vermilion county with no bond.

Police say no other warrants have been issued or arrests made but the investigation is continuing.
